Dent Doctor Bloemfontein was opened in 2001.  Arthur Schmidt has been the proud owner since 2012, and ever since has also been the hands-on, owner-operator.  Arthur’s passion and involvement in the automotive body repair business goes back over almost four decades, he grew up in the panel-shop of his grandparents and his love and passion for the trade grew from there as a young boy. He believes in delivering a quality product, keeping up with the latest technology and putting clients first.  His children Ruan and Ashley have followed in his footsteps and are now proudly involved in passionately running this family-owned business alongside with their Dad.

Ruan Schmidt who is also an Accountant Graduate, joined the Bloemfontein team in 2021 and co-manages the branch along with Arthur.  Ruan is passionate, innovative and likes keeping up with the latest trends in the trade.  He is always available and customer satisfaction and quality are key to him, in ensuring standards are always kept high.  The Bloemfontein team is assisted by Freddie Julyan, who runs the workshop with the same passion and dedication.

In 2019 Arthur saw opportunity for expansion and opened a branch in Bethlehem.  He entrusted the reigns of this branch to his son-in-law, Charl Schult and daughter Ashley Schmidt Schult. Charl also has extensive experience in the automotive body repair trade, he and Ashley then relocated from the Bloemfontein branch where they were both actively involved at the time, to open the Bethlehem branch.  Both his and Ashley’s approachable nature and attention to detail combined with their drive to succeed make them a team to be reckoned with!  Not surprising then that this branch achieved 2nd place in the Free State at the Free State Lightstone EchoMbr ranking awards for three years running.
